There are certain times where I have to admit being old sucks. And this is one of them. I got an email from my friend Alex who was less than thrilled with me because I omitted one man from the publishing of the Report Card column that he asked me to include. So, hopefully, I can place this paragraph on this talent, and from there, try and rectify the error I have made.
The man I was foolish to omit is Kane.
I would have easily placed Kane in the top 10 of the countdown I did on Wrestleview, simply for his longevity, and the broadness of his character. From rampaging out of control monster to ass kicking babyface, Kane has managed to keep this character alive and on the tips of most WWE fans for the entire tenure since it was born. While classic Kane may have been more destructive and closer to gold than the current version, he is still the ultimate entertainer. From my money, it is a travesty that Kane is not in title contention on a regular basis, and given at least one or two more runs as a major singles champion. I also would love to see Kane and his "brother" the Undertaker in tag team action reviving the Brothers of Destruction.
One of my favorite Kane matches, truth be told, is one of my favorites all together, when Kane and Taker destroyed, and I mean destroyed DDP and Kanyon in the cage for the unified World tag team championships.
Kane's grade?
A
Anything less would be disrepectful. And we all know what the Big Red Monster does to people who disrespect him.
