I was going to do this in column 202, but with this new forum, let's do it here, because it's more appropriate here....
I need to address something. I know I'm repeating myself, and for anyone who's read my work, I'm sorry, but this is the last time I'm going to do this. I had an email that came in that really upset me. All the time I have tried to explain to anyone who would read my work that I am not a journalist or a reporter or even, if you want to be serious, a columnist. I'm a fan of the business who respects everything that these talents do in the ring. With that being said, I had my credibility questioned in this email from these individuals, who claimed I, along with others, are only out here to find something else to complain about with regard to WWE and pro wrestling as a whole.
If that was the sake, I'd be spending every waking moment of this column ripping every single talent for their indiscretions with drugs, and how badly they have taken the role of a celebrity and a potential role model for young people. If I was going to rip WWE, I'd be spending every waking moment ripping WWE for its unbelieveably inhuman schedule. I'm not doing that. At least, I'm trying not to do that. I responded to the finish from the Rey Mysterio/Chavo I Quit Match with Khali because it affected ME personally. Was it staged? Yes, damnit, it probably was. Someone emailed me and told me they saw Rey prepping for it, and no I won't say how because I'm not going to break kayfabe.
Bottom line, ladies and gentlemen, and I swear to God this is the last time I am going to write this. This column reflects one person's opinion. Mine. If you like it, terrific. Great. Let's talk about it. If you don't like it, c'est la vie. You want to debate me on it, fine. You're going to resort to mudslinging and being an obnoxious so called personality, I'm gonna ignore you, and not give you the time of day. That's it. Nothing more to be said, because saying more just recognizes the fact that these emails (small in amount, mind you), are affecting me, and that means they win, and I won't let that happen, anymore.
thank you.
