Is this truly what the world has come to? I am certainly one to enjoy reveling in the agony of others, especially when they're basically morons, but this is almost sad. We have two totally opposite ends of the spectrum here.
We have Alex Rodriguez crawling back to the team with the deep enough pockets to still give him a raise after he basically tried to up his salary by $100 million dollars.
Suddenly, the owners realize they have a budget, and nobody budges.
Rodriguez freaks, goes back to New York, and begs them for a contract, literally, figuratively, you name it.
Hypocritical on both sides, and ridiculous to the last. Are the Yankees a better team? Yeah, sure, but why deal with this headache for the rest of your existence, and whether you like it or not, you've got a Rodriguez sized headache that's gonna dog you for the rest of your natural lives.
Don't sit here and patronize me and tell me you won by not bidding for Rodriguez. You and the world knew that $350 million dollars was outrageous, and would not be entertained by any team. You said, if he opted out of his contract, he's done. SO, LET HIM BE DONE. Let the moron sit out a year for sticking his $200 million dollar foot in his 10 cent yap. It'd be priceless, and THAT WAY, the Yankees would've been able to get the man back, at even significantly less of a price, and be able to show Alex Rodriguez that not even he is bigger than the Yankees, Major League Baseball, and the World Series. Now, it's just a bunch of hypocrites who decided to come back together and try and win a world series. Yeah, right. See ya on the golf course come Halloween next year, you sanctimonious polyanna.
Now, we got Barry "I didn't do it" Bonds. Or is it, Barry, "I set a record, and they fired me" Bonds. Well, dear boy. Here's how you're getting your just deserts. Not only did you corrupt a major league record of biblical proportions, but you're going to take down the reputation of the game, Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, and your father and grandfather along with you.
It disgusts me that this man has the audacity to act the way he does, and yet still, gets blasted by the government for cheating. What will disgust me even more is when he basically gets a slap on the wrist and the world moves on and eventually forgets about the night in PNC when Bonds broke 755.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, and back at reality, people, we have newspapers focusing on SPORTS STORIES about two primadonna wannabe macho men who couldn't work a normal day in their lives, and back at home, in the real world, there are news stories galore going down with little to no fanfare, or little to no recognition whatsoever. What about our business in the Middle East? Where's that relegated to? Somewhere past the fact that Cynthia and Alex found a new home to settle down in? Where's the business about health care reform? Who knows, but Barry Bonds is set to be jailed for 30 years.
I am so sick and tired of the negative cloud that revolves around sports. Sports is supposed to be entertainment. But how can anyone truly be happy in the world that's been created from the filfth, the fury, and the disgust of the general human race?
If you got the answer to that one, there's a space for you at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to replace the moron sitting in the desk in the Oval Office.

An Open letter (editorial) to the world...
Ok. This isn't wrestling. I don't really know what it is. It's me just releasing a lot of anger and fury toward a couple of topics that really rub me the wrong way. I'm writing it here because this is technically my blog. Whether you agree or disagree, fine. If you don't like it, fine. But, just remember this. We're all entitled to an opinion. This one happens to be mine.

I whole heartedly agree with you about A-Rod. There comes a time when their demands are counter productive. The more money the athletes make the less the team makes from ticket sales. It's madness! A-Rod was out of line asking for THAT much money in the first place! I think it would be perfectly acceptable for him to sit out a few seasons so his head shrinks back to it's normal size.
I have a different opinion on bonds breaking the record. We have no way of telling if Hank did steroids because back then they were a legal substance. Did he, didn't he, we'll never know for sure.
I'm keeping quiet about my political views this isn't the time nor the place to discuss my views although I do discuss them on my myspace page.
