Ok. I just endured two hours of programming, or should I say, I just blew two hours of my life I won't get back watching what I think was a wrestling program.
How awful was Raw tonight?
Ok. First, they basically REDO the Cyber Sunday Diva thing on Raw... LITERALLY.
They have a glorified announcer vs. a midget.
They have more promos than God.
They have a man who should be a hall of fame talent return to Raw this week to referee a midget match. (nothing against midgets)
They do an impersonation of their movie star in a movie that bombed so badly in the box office, they need the DVD to sell like hotcakes to break even, and all they're doing, from where I sit, is making people not want to buy the movie.
They do a main event that was so blatantly obvious as to how it was going to end, it just wasn't even remotely funny to utter.
They do a tag match where the rookie is basically thrown to the side for a win by the Intercontinental champion over someone who hasn't been in title contention in months.
They do a tag jobber match where a team that's a multiple time former tag team championship holder look absolutely god awful against a rookie and a man who is so bitter at the world that he almost becomes unwatchable.
Look, I respect the talents of WWE. I do. I respect all of them for what they do inside the ring, and getting in front of the camera.
But, damnit, make something that people are going to enjoy, because this soap opera crap is just mind numbing.
I'll try and write more about this after the reviews come in. I just can't do it now. My hair hurts, and I'm exhausted.
Damnit, Im pissed. I wasted a day off of my precious time to watch this garbage. I want a refund, WWE!
Only reason why I'm not throwing my television is A) Im going to ROH this weekend, and B) without provocation, asking, or any prodding whatsoever, my son gave me his PS 2, (cuz the stinker got an XBOX 360 for his birthday.) Hell, the gesture enough is something I don't intend to forget, screw the merch. (Well, not really.)
So, it was a good day, with a crappy ending.
ROH!
ROH!
ROH!
ROH!
ROH!
MISAWA!
MISAWA!
MISAWA!
Im old, and Im tired, and Im pissed off.
What a country.

I'm kinda disappointed too. You expect to see fall out from the last ppv on the first raw back and it's usually one of the better shows.
Creative is starting to suck when it comes to the story lines.

(1): Totally agree with you on the Kevin Nash thing. I think I just wanted to write "pee a little." I'm pretty childlike.
(2): I think the problem for me is about 5 weeks of promos for you-know-who and...nothing except more freakin' promos. On one hand, I think the WWE is trying to be like "Lost" or something by not answering the questions we want answered, therefore making us watch every week and bumping up the ratings. On the other hand...save_us y2j, dammit!
As always, your blogs and colums are really good reads and about the only good thing that has come out of wrestling lately. I am waiting for Y2J to save me, two months now and still waiting, but in the meantime your writing keeps my smile where it should be. Thanks for your insights and well written words.
Best regards,

Alas, such is why I stopped watching WWE a few weeks ago. I suggest everyone else do the same. Just by reading the results, I can tell how terrible the show must have been.
What amazes me is that the ratings remain in the 3.3 area in the ratings. WWE deserves less.
Their credibility and just the mere stupidity of their shows are mind-boggling.
