A good email on ideas for WWE...

Check out these thoughts from my buddy Hugo. It's another terrific set of ideas...

Recently in the world of WWE, the prevalent issue has been that of "Save_us.222".
From what I've seen and heard, this is pointing to the inevitable return of 'Y2J' Chris Jericho. Now as far as I'm concerned; a returning Y2J would be great, but sloppy. It seems WWE could make better use of the "Save Us" promos by not wasting them on a guaranteed hit like Jericho.
I believe a far better use of these promos would be to allow everyone all over the world believe it was Jericho, and when it's finally time to reveal who is "Save_us.222" it was someone like Hassan (sorry if I misspelled that). A great way of bringing him back would be to hit the Y2J countdown, only to have Hassan come out instead, mock the fans and run down Jericho. This could easily lead into a Hassan/Jericho rivalry. Now that may not be a dream feud, but would be a fun was of getting both men over again in their respective roles.
Furthermore, at the moment RAW has become a bland repetition of the same monotonous rubbish week in and week out. The stories they're turning out are being over used and aren't worth all the time invested into them. Not to say Orton/Cena wasn't fantastic, but who is Santino Marella?(who cares?) Why can't they just expand the Tag Devision beyond Londrick and Cade & Murdoch? (thank god for the Highlanders), and what is the deal with shipping Bob Holly to RAW? ECW needs the numbers, he's just clutter on RAW, he could have really helped ECW, and the only future I see for the guy on RAW is getting Rhodes over and then heading to Heat, which is a disgrace.
Since we're on the topic of disgraces, I was on the WWE Website tonight and noticed the Cruiser weight Title has been removed. Allow me to applaud WWE on killling a devision they could have used to breathe new life into the company: bravo men, who wants to see small guys win (if their name isn't Rey Mysterio)?
I can't understand how the higher-ups in WWE have allowed themselves to become habitually acquiescent to the idiotic whims of the creative team? They are slowly killing off anything edgy and different about the product.
Could they not use the division to add a new edge to ECW, or reignite it on Smackdown? Or failing that, why not bring back the Hardcore Championship and putting it on ECW?
Don't get me wrong, ECW is really coming into it's own as a show, but if they're going to call it 'ECW' why not give them Hardcore back? and not just have Tuesday Night RAWdown! ??
One final point, why oh why is WWE determined ECW will be Heat with a storyline? They are standing at the edge of something grand and new, they have some fun talent, and the potential to improve it even more, all they have to do is cease raping the roster whenever anyone gets over. This shortsightedness of WWE is going to lead to the second death of ECW!

that stands on its own, so I am out. for now.

I agree about ECW and the fact that it's about dead. Ten weeks left on the TV contract and lousy numbers because the talent keeps getting pulled.

As a fan I also agree about the fact that fans don't necessarily hate John Cena but compared to the Rock, Stone Cold, Taker, HHH and HBK in their prime he's not exactly a Main Eventer. Back when Raw was the top of the wrestling world when the WWF was must see TV you wouldn't even see a Dave Batista or a Great Khali in any capacity outside of the IC and Hardcore belts. The talent is just not there, which is why at 57 Ric Flair is still a huge draw.

Also I joined blogspot today just to have someplace to put my own wrestling thoughts. How do you go about linking to other blogs like a friends list or do they even offer such an ability?

The above comment is actually a split between this post and the one below it...I should pay more attention.

Just a quickie.
Why doesn't WWE 'Tri-brand' the Tag titles?
There's nowhere near the depth on the individual rosters to have 3 separate tag divisions, nor the TV time.
If WWE were however to let the tag belts flow, new teams could get their shots, the tag division would earn back some respect, and we might even get a running storyline between teams on different shows. This could and should result in "brand invasions" and promote a good rivalry between the three shows. Just an opinion.
