I GOT HIS NAME. His name is Dave from that big island on the other side of the world, Australia. Cool huh?
1. I am stunned Jeff Hardy got the final pinfall on Umaga during the traditional match. Is it possibly the winds of change? Who knows.
Same here. Triple H still hit the pedigree for the finish though. Still - this was a great match, despite Big Vis being in it.
2. Happy the ECW title stayed with Punk, but damn, can ECW get a little respect and not be the opening match for every pay per view?
Very solid match. The Miz is a lot better than he gets credit for too. This was definitely better than the Diva match and more interesting than the Tag Team match.
3. What's the deal with the Khali match? Is Finlay a face now? Before, during the one day DX reunion, I thought they were turning Khali face. Is WWE suffering from TNA disease of turning and returning talent face and heel on a dime?
By the way, I KNOW Finlay is not a face, but with what happened tonight, it's debatable, at least.
Could be Finlay vs The McMahons for a while here, over custody over Hornswaggle. Terrible angle in the making. Still... Hornswoggle is priceless. His facial expressions are sensational.
4. How many times are they gonna pull Matt Hardy out of PPVs? It's the second one in less than a month. Once, I can accept. Twice, I don't think is a coincidence. Maybe I'm just being dumb, and they're continuing the slow burn to Matt vs. MVP for the US Belt. I don't know. (Isn't there a law saying MVP has to defend that belt within a certain amount of time, because I think it's been a dog's age since he's defended it on a PPV).
Yep. Was bummed not to see Matt in the last two PPV's. Wonder if he's injured? Lots of tag matches lately, missing PPV's... could be a legit injury? Maybe still doubts over the head injury? Either way, let's hope he wins the US Title at Armageddon. He will be a worthy champ - but I wonder if he's a better challenger than champ?
6. Who is gonna take the belts off Cade & Murdoch? Don't get me wrong, I like an established team as the champs, but one week, they get destroyed by Batista and the Taker, and this week, they're victorious in a title defense. Hello, hypocritical a little? Did that even make sense?
The Tag Team division in the WWE is questionable at the moment. I don't think Cade and Murdoch losing to Batista and Taker hurt them all that much - because a) they managed to get some offense in, and b) it's a match against Batista and Taker. However, I do smell a split coming on, and a singles run for Lance Cade. I think he could easily be a huge star.
7. It was pretty much a foregone conclusion that Orton would retain. Michaels' schedule is not a WWE championship schedule. Sad. But true. Orton's next title contender should be interesting, I hope. Or, it could be really pathetic.
Yeah, I guess it was foregone, but still the best match on the card. Michaels using the Sharpshooter, Crossface, and Ankle Lock on Orton actually made me yell at Orton to "Tap Out you Bastard!" Michaels is still the best at telling a story in the ring, no questions about it. But he'll never hold the title again. Perhaps a Tag Team belt?
8. Kane's first out in the traditional match? WHO HAS HE PISSED OFF to be treated so lousy?
Hmmm... I don't know what I made of that either? On one hand - somebody has to be first to go. Triple H and Hardy weren't going to be- so neither were Umaga or Kennedy. Rey and Finlay were the workers. MVP is on the rise, so my guess is it was down to Kane or Big Vis. Kane lost out on this one. He did get mic time though, and brought up the Katie Vick debacle... funny stuff.
9. Sounds like Batista and Taker in Hell in a Cell was brutal. I give Taker credit for taking this type of pounding. I really do.
It was brutal, but nothing that couldn't have been done in a No DQ match really. You got a massive Hell in a Cell cage there - you should probably use it. I think it was only used twice. To grate Batista's forehead, and Taker was Irish whipped into it. Would have liked to seen them climb it. Or am I a bit spoilt from past Taker Cell matches?
10. I don't like the finish of the Hell in a Cell match. Obviously, it sets up Edge vs. Taker, but we should have seen a clean finish for Batista vs. Taker first. Their matches deserved a clean cut ending, and not the way it was portrayed in Miami tonight.
Then have Edge come out. Having Edge come out and help Batista, albeit adding "mystery", as WWE.com is already laying that groundwork, but it is predictable at best, because there's no way in hell Edge is turning face, and it's just a ploy to get at Taker to begin the slow burn to Wrestlemania.
What I didn't get was the whole advertising campaign featuring Edge with a chainsaw. No chainsaw appeared in the show. So what was the point of that? I got all excited about seeing Edge rip into the Hell in a Cell with a chainsaw... would have been great. Anyway - I still thought the finish was great. Edge was in there all along. Who would have thought.
Anyway, the cloudy finish leaves Taker and Batista open for something in the future, it gives Batista and Taker a genuine gripe with Edge, and sets up Edge brilliantly as the Premier heel on the Brand - and perhaps the WWE.

Last nights PPV was Ok. Iam a little upset no titles changed hands but I knida knew it was coming. The Randy Orton/Shawn Michels match was a good one to watch. I was hoping the Randy would tap, but in a way i knew he would re-retain and still get a foot to the face. Iam a BIG Undertaker fan and a little upset that he didnt win the title, but now I get to look forward to Basita/Taker 6, or maybe a Triple Threat between the 3 for the Title, who knows? Now I waiting for the re-turn of Jericho tonight. Wonder who he will fued with?
OK, I know this is about Survivor Series, but I've gotta ask to Mike, what do you think of the January 4 Dome Show of next year: The WrestleMania of New Japan. Because, those matches has been made so far Tomko and A-Train defending the IWGP tag team titles against the Steiner Brothers, and I smell A.J. playing a role in this match. Abyss facing Masabu Nakanishi, maybe Abyss will show more wrestling and less blood this time? And, Triple A (OK, Kurt Angle) facing Yuji Nagata for the IGF title, maybe plugging one of those: or Angle defeats Nagata and makes an instant, out of nowhere challenge to the IWGP Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi to decide in the ring who is the real IWGP Champion, or Nagata wins the title, and use it to force Tanahashi to give him a rematch for the IWGP title, a la Razor Ramon-Shawn Michaels buildup to their ladder match at WrestleMania X?
And one last think, why Dixie Carter doesn't stop being a jabroni, go talk with Vince, and convince him to sold him the name of WCW, so TNA will change their name to something that represents the real deal of TNA right now?
And yeah, if something will give an inch of life to WWE will be the buildup of Edge-Taker at WrestleMania 24 (can Edge wins the World Heavyweight title at any point down the road, so this match will become the main event of 'Mania, an honor that SmackDown! doesn't have since Angle-Lesnar at WM XIX, and will throttle this match to the next galaxy?) and the return of Y2J.
"Michaels is still the best at telling a story in the ring, no questions about it"
i think this sums up what is wrong with wrestling today
