Even though I got the board up, I'll still publish emails when they're cool.. Jinsei's always gotta good opinion, so here, check this out.

I agree with your comments over the town. There are three likely scenarios here. One, WWE wanted to be close to it's home base much like how they were in New York for their tenth anniversary. Two, WWE wanted to build up the city much like how famous bouts build up New York, Chicago, etc. Three, when scheduling the shows, WWE forgot about their 15 year anniversary and said "fuck it."
Personally, I think it was scenario number three.

Yeah, I admit, I ragged on Trips quite a bit in my weekly RoW blog, including this monday's RAW, but he was probably the biggest star RAW has right now that was around back then. Not that Shawn, Taker, Austin, Foley, or anyone else weren't, but Trips has been in the original DX, Evolution, McMahon-Helmsley Era, and roughly just about every big thing there was since he arrived in WWF.
The problem is that Triple H is everywhere everyweek. WWE showed that along with the nostalgia, they were staying with the current storylines. There's no reason to have Triple H be a part of the 20 minute opening, the bogus Rated RKO/UMAGA vs. Evolution match, and saving Shawn Michaels, then making a ten minute celebration at the end.. while also being the one to lead everyone out to the ring in the closing moments.
I think my problem lies somewhere around the fact that Triple H never loses and he never gives anyone else the chance to shine. It's every week that we see him hog TV time, so this just added to my annoyance. ....especially since the RVD/Santino match could have gone on a little longer than two moves worth.

I almost ejacu--- "popped" when I saw Sunny. I haven't seen her since her involvement with LOD 2000, so it was a big "HOLY SHIT" moment for me! Just too bad nobody at the arena knew who she was... that would have been different in New York or Chicago.

It was nice seeing the Godfather again. I was actually disappointed in a little bit of the battle royal. Steve Blackman, Jim Neidhart, and Gangrel had the best reactions of those that took part in the match. I'm not upset that neither of them won, because I enjoyed the DiBiase moment (even though the crowd was dead silent), but they should have been three of the final four. A fan's cry to WWE: BRING BACK BLACKMAN!!
I don't think they ever said "legends," they just said 15 superstars from the last 15 years of WWE.

In any case, it was a fun night of nostalgia with some current storylines in between.... even if Austin saying "you're the greatest superstars" sounded corny as hell.
