NY Giants 17, New England 14

I took sunday night off to watch the Super Bowl. I did it more for the fact of wanting to watch my 14 year old lose his blanking mind because of how big a Giants fan he is. (NO INFLUENCE from me.)

I never dreamt that it would be as entertaining as it was last night. It was an amazing, entertaining spectacle. Take everything out of the fact that my family are Giants fans, the game itself was emotional, it was intense, and it was overwhelming.

It was a little ugly, at times, but not bowling shoe ugly. It was ugly, war like ugly, and that, I'd pay to see any day of the week, and twice on sundays.

I have to say a couple of things about what went down last night from an observatory standpoint.

I thought Jordin Sparks was going to have a heart attack. She looked like she was going to drop right then and there. She was good, don't get me wrong, but if you saw her eyes, she really looked scared out of her mind.
Tom Petty was surprisingly enjoyable. I always think the halftime shows are too damn long, but it was enjoyable to watch and listen to.
How awful were the Super Bowl ads? And where was the Candice Michelle ad?
Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are unlistenable.

And now, for the fun points...

How much fun was it to see Tom Brady get knocked on his ass as many times as he did?
How much fun was it to see Bill Belichick look like he was going to absolutely cry at the end of the game?
How classless was it that Belichick was off the field before the final gun actually sounded?
How terrific is it going to be to listen to sports talk radio for the next 10 days absolutely eat crow for every single person on the planet not picking the Giants

Actually, to be honest, I wasn't one of those who picked the Giants by any stretch of the imagination. I thought it the same as the rest of the world. But, I never dreamt it would be as entertaining as it was.

And how freaking refreshing was that, ladies and gentlemen?

Incredibly.

Hey Mike... I picked the Giants to win it.
It was classless for him to walk off before the game ended. I used to respect him but I have lost that this season.
