Lemme preface this by saying I did not see the show, I am reading the reports from online, just like the majority of you who didn't see it, but I do have some post Wrestlemania thoughts to share.
It's about damn time Kane won gold again. Even though the belt don't mean a damn thing, and it's true, I would have said that even when Punk was champion, it's more than righteous to give Kane a world title reign, even if it has to be the ECW Gold. The storyline behind that match was classic too. A slap in the face for the brand as a whole, in my opinion, but a classic Guerrero-esque storyline and well planned out to get the dupe for the Big Red Monster and turn him, finally, back in to the Big Red Champion.
People are gonna say I contradicted myself because I picked Kingston. Well, yes, I did, but that was under the impression that the brand extension actually meant something. Now that we all know it means jack squat, it's very cool with me how they did this.
I'm not surprised Punk won Money in the Bank. I picked Jericho because I thought backstage politics would stab Punk in the back. However, Punk winning benefits WWE. Now, Punk has the chance to go to whatever show he chooses, gets more airplay, and eventually, probably, wins WWE or world title gold in the near future. With Kane ruling the land of the extreme, I doubt you'll see Punk try and regain that gold. If anything, Punk is next in line for the gold I gotta talk about now.
I'm stunned Orton retained. Not because he beat Cena, because I didn't expect Cena to win. Cena will be WWE Champion again, that's a lock, it's just a matter of when he has his focus back on wrestling 100%, and right now, it's not. What surprises me is that Triple H didn't win the belt. Now, with Punk winning the briefcase, the most likely target for him is the Legend Killer, and that, I would pay to see. Somewhere in between there, Triple H turns heel, and then we have a face Punk as WWE Champ vs. a heel Triple H for the title down the road close to Summerslam perhaps. Book it, and I'll buy it. Hook, line, and sinkah.
Kind of bummed Rock didn't appear. He seemed to be so on his game saturday night at the Hall of Fame. But, c'est la vie. Life's a bitch, I guess.
It sounds like HBK/Flair was a moment that will last a lifetime. I'm looking very forward to seeing how that comes out when the DVD is released.
Festus in a skit with Snoop Dogg. I've seen it all now. Or, at least, I will see it all, soon.
Undertaker winning the belt was, as I said, the most predictable match at Wrestlemania this time out. The only potential question would be if Edge lost by DQ, but, with the match being the "main event", a DQ finish would've left such a sour taste in the mouths of the near 70 thusand fans in attendance in Florida, so the drop had to be made. I think it was the right move to put Edge/Taker as the last match. I definitely agree with NOT putting the triple threat the last match. I would've liked to have seen it be something like WWE Title Match/HBK-Flair/World title match. Those were the three mains, and that should've been the sequence. I guess armchair booking is my speciality.
My, how the mighty have fallen. Three years ago, JBL dropped the WWE title to John Cena. Now, JBL's in the opening contest at Wrestlemania taking weapons shots from a midget.
It must be me, but someone has to explain to me the physical appeal of Kim Kardashian. Because I don't see it. Woof Woof.
Batista beating Umaga for brand supremacy. Yawn.
Floyd Mayweather defeated the Big Show. Ladies and gentlemen, say thank you to the most loyal wrestler in WWE. Big Show could've killed Mayweather, and he took the job for the company. It's a credit to him as a loyal employee of World Wrestling Entertainment. It sickens me as a wrestling fan, but damnit, the man could've killed this guy, and frankly, I would've loved to see it. Now, I gotta see him fight off twenty different morons from Mayweather's posse only to get felled by a pair of brass knuckles. Sad. Pathetic. And a black eye for this particular Wrestlemania.
Just a few thoughts from me on this thing. I'm obviously gonna get the DVD. I'd like your thoughts. I'll post them here.
Later.

I have to agree, writting a blog based only on an online report is a waste of time.
Seeing as he was expressing his views on the storylines, not the match quality, I have no problem with his blog. But with that being said, I get where you're coming from, expecting a comprehensive review of the PPV, rather then an opinion piece. But I will ask we try and cut down on the profanities. The language is vulgar and discredits your arguments; on top of that, it’s just a cheap way of trying to make your writing seem aggressive.
Schooled by HUGO!
Of all the matches that I called and was suprised I actually got right it was Kane winning first the battle royal and then KILLING Chavo for the ECW title.
I actually cheered when I saw that the WWE actually went through with a 'GOOD' Idea. Now he better not lose it tuesday night. I will NOT be pleased.
Also, I have no problem that you didn't see the PPV but had opinions on what happened. If you read Adam Martin's Wrestleview recap (like I do) He does an excellent job of explaining the action and you can tell just by reading if the match was crap or not.
People need to get over themselves. If they don't like what you have to say there are plenty of other Internet wankers they can go read.
