I agree with you about King Regal and the ending of Monday Night RAW for the most part. The only thing I had a problem with the angle was that when Regal cut the video feed off HHH was in control of the match and I believe it would have been better if the champion was getting beat down. The other issue I have with it is how it was handled off the air. Accordidng to live reports and the follow up on WWE.com Regal came out to the arena and said that he was not going to give this match away for free and then he booked this match to Main Event Judgement Day inside of a Steel Cage. What I think would have been better is Regal came out announced that the match ended in a time limit draw since they were no longer on TV and then on the website announced that he would be the one to wrestle HHH for the title at Judgement Day and if they still kept the cage option that would be fine with me too. Then they could have had Regal win the title at Judgement Day which would have fed into his ego even more. It would have also given the World Champion a new face and given WWE its 1st British World Champion. Then with the set up from earlier that night Mr Kennedy could be the guy to eventually beat Regal to become the next World Champion.
The walkout on ECW was a work which was set up earlier in the night by Mick Foley Matt Striker segment. It was obvious that segment was directed towards Mick it was about Mike. I also believe that everything that they have had Mike do since joining the company was done to set up the walkout. The reason I believe it was done is because WWE is trying to do something they have been trying for years now and that is no make the Play by Play guy be a heel. Which they tried to do with JR a few years ago and it didn't work but it might this time.
I like Mick I think he does a good job doing the color. He did a good job doing in at ECW One Night Stand so I knew he could do it but I would not have put him with Cole. The reason is his image. If I were Vince I would have brought back Mick to be the GM of ECW and lets Estrada become a manager. The person I would have put in as a color guy for SMACKDOWN! is DDP.
The only thing I am going to say about the Santino situation is maybe he was driving because he was the most sober of the group.
I believe you are right that this blemish on Santino's record will virtually kill any possible idea of a tag team title run for Marella and his new partner Carlito but it could end up being a good thing for Carlito because they could use this as a way to push Carlito as a singles wrestler again which in my opinion he is better off doing where as Santino is better off in a tag team and might I suggest reforming the FBI with Santino and Nunzio as the newest version.
I thought the talent exchanges were between SHIMMER and TNA. Which if that is the case YES it is a good idea for both companies. However if it is between ROH and TNA then NO it is not a good idea for both companies. It is only a good idea for ROH. Giving a company that if and when they get on TV they become a serious threat to you is not a good idea if you are TNA management.
If you want a company to become competiiton to WWE the only way to do that is the ROH methon of not trying to become competiiton to WWE. When you focus on WWE like TNA is doing right now and WCW did in the past you will eventually fail.
I kind of agree with you about the World Heavyweight Championship and the Undertaker but on the other hand this could be something interesting for both the title and Taker and maybe even ECW. Lets start with the title if they do a tournament and do it right and not like the King of the Ring they could elevate new younger and fresher talent to the Main Event spot on SMACKDOWN! The person I would pick to do this would be the man who just dropped the US title to Matt Hardy MVP. Now lets move on to the Undertaker and ECW. WWE could use what Vickie did to put the EXTREME back into ECW thru the Draft by having the Undertaker moved to ECW and make it so his choke hold is not illegal in ECW. They could give him the ECW World title and make that one last long title reign with a title he has yet to win.
I agree with you that the Diva title situation is a problem and the way I would solve it would be to change the shows around by using the Draft. The 1st thing I would do is make the Monday show 2-hours of ECW, the Tuesday night show then becomes 1-hour of Divas, then Friday becomes 2-hours of WWE. I don't know if you saw the post SMACKDOWN! video on WWE.com but it looks like based off of that Cherry will be repackaged somewhat soon.
Colin Delaney is already the 2008 version of ECW's Mikey Whipwreck.
I am not sure what they are doing with the WWE Tag Team Championships either.
So far I like how they are booking the Big Show since he has been back. I will like it even more if the end of these fueds translates into the end of these guys in WWE.
